Lovejoy High School Senior Photo Shoot | Downtown McKinney & Erwin Park

I couldn’t rave about Gwyn’s senior photos enough! This Lovejoy High School gal opted for a dual location session, mixing both urban chic and country, for a blend of styles that showcases a couple different sides of her personality. We started in the downtown McKinney square for the spiral staircase, picturesque storefronts, and brick buildings. While this location is super popular amongst photographers and seniors alike, it’s always a win, and if you’ve been downtown enough, you know there are multiple secret nooks and spots to find! The red buildings you see in some of the photos are actually one of my favorite little spots to shoot, and there’s never anyone else back there! (But shhhh, don’t tell!)

After a successful hour or so at the square, we headed west to Erwin Park, one of McKinney’s outdoor treasures! If you’ve never been there for a hike, picnic, or mini campout, make it your next local getaway. You won’t be disappointed. The sunsets here are amazing, and perfect for a Texas senior gal wanting that golden hour glow! (And a little bit of blue hour too, at the end!) Check out these gorgeous shots from Gywn’s session and see why it’ll be one of my faves for years to come.

The famous spiral staircase! So many things you can do with this spot. It’s a downtown photo staple!
